My Italian Summer in Sorrento

After spending a week exploring Scotland, I made my way to Italy to meet my family for the final stop of our Europe trip. We stayed in Sorrento, a beautiful coastal town overlooking the Bay of Naples, and spent a few days enjoying sunshine, incredible food, and some of the most stunning scenery I've ever seen.
Over the course of the trip, we learned how to make authentic Neapolitan pizza, spent time at a beach club, explored Capri and the Amalfi Coast by boat, wandered through Sorrento's winding streets, and enjoyed more gelato, pasta, and espresso than I care to admit.
As wonderful as the scenery was, what stands out most to me now is the time spent together. In just a few months, I'll be moving to Scotland to begin my master's degree, and life is about to become much busier. This trip gave us the opportunity to slow down, enjoy each other's company, and make a few more memories before the next chapter begins.
One of my favorite parts of the trip was getting to practice my Italian. I've been studying the language for about two years, and while I'm still far from fluent, it was exciting to finally use it in everyday conversations. Some interactions went better than others, but every conversation felt like a small victory.
Looking back through the footage while editing this vlog, I was reminded of how quickly travel passes by. The boat rides, lemon trees, sunsets, and long dinners all seemed to disappear in an instant. I'm grateful I captured enough of those moments to revisit them now.
Until the next adventure,
Barbie
